A friendly round up- Thursday 20th August

By Ian Townsend

Do you want to know what happened in our friendly matches last night? So do we! This is what we've managed to glean from the internet.

Faversham Town took on Lordswood, and came home with a one-nil victory. That's four wins out of six (how on earth have they played six friendlies already?) in pre-season so far. Goalscorer unknown.

Great Wakering Rovers defeated White Ensign by two goals to one. Once more, we don't know who scored!

Sittingbourne travelled to Chatham Town, and came away with a one-one draw. You've guessed it, scorer unknown.

Leatherhead fell to a two-one defeat at Reading City. Will Seager got the Tanners goal six minutes after the break.

Heading back to Wednesday evening, Whitehawk fell to a one-nil defeat against Brighton and Hove Albion's Under 23 side, which included last season's Worthing keeper Carl Rushworth. Worthing themselves were at Littlehampton Town, and a thrilling match ended four-three to the Mackerel Men- and you can read a report of that here. Ollie Pearce got two of the goals, and the other two came from trialists.

And that's your lot, unless we missed something in our trawl of social media.

Many of our clubs will be letting supporters in to watch for the first time since March this weekend, but we'd urge you to visit the website and social media feeds of your club before you attend. Capacities are limited, some are selling tickets online, all have to follow stringent safety rules, and one isn't allowing children- so it would be wise that you check before you set off!
