A Lancers duo

By Ian Townsend

Lancing announce arrival of Charlie Towning and Sam Bull from National League South

Lancing boss Dean Cox has strengthened his squad with two dual-registration signings, both players dropping down two levels to play at Culver Road.

Charlie Towning has the shorter journey, moving a few miles along the coast from Worthing. The midfielder joined the Mackerel Men from Eastbourne Borough in the summer, and has already made a couple of appearances in Pitching In Isthmian South East this season, for Haywards Heath Town.

He spent time at Heath's neighbours Burgess Hill Town last season, where he made six appearances between February and March. He made his Isthmian bow during the 2019-20 campaign, when he was with Three Bridges. He made six appearances for Bridges.

Sam Bull is still only eighteen, and we believe he can play at left back and in midfield. He moves a little further, from Eastbourne Borough, where he has played for the Under 19 and Under 23 sides, and been part of the first team squad.
