A Monday Premier extravaganza

Second place Chatham Town will hope to cut the gap of leaders Hornchurch to three points as they travel to Hashtag United this evening. The Chats got back to winning ways elsewhere in Essex on Saturday, defeating Concord Rangers, but will perhaps expect the Tags to put up a stronger fight at the Len Salmon. With only one defeat in seven across all competitions the Chats are in good form, whilst the Tags are dreadfully difficult to defeat- only one league loss so far- but will be a little fed up of being labelled draw specialists. Sadly with six draws from ten matches so far, if that is to happen they need to start winning a few more- and they’ll hope to start tonight!

A win for the Tags could see them up to sixth.

Fifth faces sixth at Colston Avenue, as Carshalton Athletic welcome Lewes. Athletic hasve lost their way a little of late, and indeed have gone seven matches across League, Cup and Trophy without a win- their last win exactly a month ago, at Enfield Town. Off the field the Rooks fans are a little distracted and a little divided by ongoing ownership discussions at the Dripping Pan, but on it their side has been in good form, winning four of their last five- their only defeat in the last month coming against Aldershot Town in the Cup. The last time the sides met, back in January, the Robins won two-one, Tom Beere with both goals for the hosts, Joe Taylor scoring for the Rooks.

A Carshalton win will see them up to third, whilst victory for their visitors will see them take that third spot.

Kick off in both matches is at 7.45 PM.
