Former Hythe stopper Sam Hignett arrives at Ashford United


Ashford United have announced the signing of goalkeeper Sam Hignett- and he was the only non-playing substitute as the Nuts and Bolts won a hard-fought FA Trophy match against AFC Sudbury last night.

Sam has played for Faversham Strike Force this season in the SCEFL First Division, and played four times for Hythe Town towards the end of last season. He has previously spent time with Ashford's tenants Kennington, and was an Academy player with Dover Athletic.
