A pair of Motormen

By Ian Townsend

Oscar Shelvey-Negus and Mekael Williams are new at Redbridge

Redbridge announced two new arrivals following Tuesday's defeat at Felixstowe- but it turns out they'd been hiding in plain sight all along!

Mekael Williams was actually making his third appearance for the Motormen. He started the season at now sadly-defunct East Thurrock United, and was previously with Basildon United, where he played twenty three times last season. During the 21-22 season the defender spent time with Ramsgate, playing ten times, and he has also spent time with Enfield Town.

Oscar Shelvey-Negus was making his second appearance of this spell. Oscar was a big part of Aveley's Pitching In Isthmian North Championship winning side, making twenty seven appearances as they won promotion. He played another eleven times last season as they won promotion again, before making a dual registration move to Bowers & Pitsea. He made twenty four appearances for Bowers, and this is his second spell with the Motormen.

He started this season at Concord Rangers, playing six times.
