A Swifts trio

Three arrivals at Scraley Road

Heybridge Swifts announced three signings in the run up to their victory at Soham Town Rangers yesterday- two of whom had played for the club before, one only a few weeks ago.

The player entirely new to Swifts was defender Daniel Okah, who came in from Hulbridge Sports and wa son the bench yesterday. Daniel made twelve appearances for Sports this season, and previously played for Basildon United and Thurrock.

The first returnee was midfielder George Cocklin, who moved back to Swifts from Coggeshall Town, where he'd made twenty one appearances this season. He was an almost ever-present for the Seed Growers in the previous campaign, playing forty three times as they qualified for the North Division Playoffs in their first season in the Division. He's also played for Romford and Witham Town.

Finally, Matthew Price headed back after hardly being away. Price made fourteen appearances for Swifts this season, but saw his campaign hampered by illness and then decided to leave the club for East Thurrock United in the search for more playing time. He scored twenty two goals for Swifts last season, and thirty six the season before (half for Brentwood Town). He made seven appearances for the Rocks, scoring once.
