A trio head for the City

Cambridge City have a Friday signing frenzy

Cambridge City, who got back to winning ways after three successive defeats when they thumped Harlow Town 4-0 in midweek, have looked to build on that victory by bringing in three new signings.

Two of the new boys come from North Division rivals. Jarid Robson has made fifteen appearances for top of the table Bury Town this season, and it seems that last Saturday's substitute appearance in victory over Romford was the last. The midfielder moved over to Ram Meadow from Mildenhall Town in the summer, his seven goals for Hall last season unable to prevent them from being relegated.

Michael Gyasi becomes the latest player to leave Coggeshall Town. The forward has made thirteen appearances this season, scoring in their victories over Cockfosters in the FA Cup and Canvey Island in the League. He started his career with Northampton Town, spent a number of years as a youth player at Chelsea, and has also played for Nuneaton Town.

The third member of the trio is six-foot-six goalkeeper Jake Jessup. Jake has turned out for Mildenhall Town, Lowestoft Town, Chelmsford City and Needham Market, where he was an ever-present last season. He moved to Leiston in the summer, and works for Premier League Norwich City.
