A trio of Lancers

Alex Laing, Andrew Briggs and Alex Plummer agree terms with Lancing

New Lancing boss David Altendorff has begun his reign with the addition of a forward and two midfielders to his squad.

Alex Laing finished last season at Haywards Heath Town, his nine goals unable to keep his side in the Pitching In Isthmian South East. Alex joined Heath last summer from Whitehawk, where he played thirteen times and scored twice in the latter part of the 21-22 campaign. He joined the Hawks from South Park Reigate after starting that particular campaign at Horsham.

He was at Heath's rivals Burgess Hill Town during the 2020-21 campaign, where he made eleven appearances and scored two goals, and at Three Bridges during the 2019-20 campaign, making eleven appearances and scoring three goals.

He spent 2018-19 as part of the Haywards Heath Town side which reached the South East Division Playoff Semi-Finals, making thirty two appearances as Heath made their Isthmian debut, scoring six goals- and also spent time at Hanbury Park during their promotion-winning seasons of 2016-17 and 2017-18.

He has also played for Worthing, Littlehampton Town, Shoreham, Eastbourne United and AFC Uckfield Town.

Midfielder Andrew Briggs spent last season at East Grinstead Town, where he made forty one appearances. That followed seventeen- and five goals- during the second half of the 21-22 campaign. He was previously at Haywards Heath Town, Leatherhead, Burgess Hill Town, in the National League South with Eastbourne Borough, and previously played for the Lancers in the Southern Combination Football League.

Midfielder Alex Plummer moves up from SCFL side Newhaven, and has previously been with Ringmer, Saltdean United, AFC Uckfield Town, Loxwood and Eastbourne Town.
