All change at Sutton Common Rovers

After nearly thirty years, boss Darren Salmon steps aside, and Sam Morgan steps up

It is very much the end of an era- or perhaps, very much the start of a new era- at Sutton Common Rovers, as long serving boss Darren Salmon makes the move to General Manager, with Sam Morgan stepping up to replace him.

Darren has been in charge of the first team at Rovers since they were playing Sunday parks football, and his success at guiding them to Step Four- and keeping them there for the last two years- is rather remarkable. He has decided that the time is right for him to become General Manager at the club, who play at Whyteleafe, and was undoubtedly involved in the decision that his co-manager Sam Morgan should become the new manager in his own right.

Sam joined the club midway through last season, after departing Haywards Heath Town, where he was Assistant to Martin Dynan. Prior to his time at Heath Sam managed Lingfield, and he also has coaching experience with Epsom and Ewell and AFC Croydon.
