AFC Sudbury search for relatives of their First World War heroes

AFC Sudbury look to honour their former heroes

AFC Sudbury have launched a hunt to find relatives of five former players and officials in time for a Remembrance Weekend commemoration- and they've asked for help from their supporters and local community. Family members of their First World War heroes will be invited as honoured guests to their match with Basildon United on Saturday 10th November.

If you are a relative- or know a relative- of the following, please contact the club on andrew.long@afcsudbury.co.uk or call 01787 376213:

  • Corporal Robert Charles Bristow
  • Captain Raymond Linay Armes
  • Lt Colonel William Morris Armes
  • Private James William Moulton
  • Lance Corporal Harry Edward Malyon

For more information on these former servicemen, and the initiative, please visit the club website here.
