We're awaiting confirmation from Carshalton Athletic, but Aveley have announced the departure of striker Alex Akrofi to the Robins.
In a statement released last night, the Millers explained:
'Aveley Football Club can announce that Alex Akrofi has decided to move away from Parkside in pursuit of regular football.
Alex has been frustrated at the lack of game time this season, after making 4 starts and 7 other appearances from the bench. Akrofi has joined fellow Isthmian Premier League side Carshalton Athletic.'
According to the Millers figures, the striker has played one hundred and thirty four times in his spells with the club, scoring seventy two goals and assisting forty three times. He was a big part of last season's Pitching In Isthmian North title, and has also won promotion with Brentwood Town and Maidstone United. He rejoins his former manager at Tonbridge Angels, Steve McKimm, at Carshalton.
