Allen for Aveley

Ben Allen debuts for the Millers

Aveley had a new name in their ranks as they defeated Hornchurch on Saturday, giving a second half debut to midfielder Ben Allen, who moves across from Hungerford Town.

Ben was a young player at Phoenix Sports when snapped up by Gillingham, where he turned out for their Under 18 side and a few times for the first team. Loan time at Greenwich Borough followed, and then he moved to Bromley, before having some loan time at Lewes- but he'd played only one, in an FA Trophy defeat at Lowestoft Town, before the pandemic ended a second season in a row.

He moved on to play National League South football with Welling United and Concord Rangers before his move to Hungerford in the summer.
