Angel Collins new at Invicta

A week after scoring against Folkestone Invicta, Louis Collins signs for the club

Folkestone Invicta have announced the capture of striker Louis Collins, and may give him a debut as they travel to Cray Wanderers this evening.

The Tonbridge Angels striker returns to our ranks after previous spells with Sevenoaks Town, Margate and- most recently- Hastings United.

Louis signed for Angels in the summer, after making seven appearances for Gate at the end of last season. Prior to his time at Hartsdown Park he was turning out a step higher for one of Gate's local rivals, Dover Athletic.

He had two spells with Sevenoaks Town, and prior to that was with Scunthorpe United, and also played youth football with Millwall, Ebbsfleet United and Bromley. He scored 47 goals in 23 games with United's Under 15's, and was also top scorer as an Under 16 with Bromley, winning the Kent Youth League Golden Boot two seasons in succession before heading to Scunthorpe.

He spent a short time on loan at Hastings United earlier this year, making five appearances and, in one of those coincidences that turn up regularly in Isthmian land, scored the Hastings opener against his new club just a week ago. He'd better hope the Build Kent faithful are a forgiving lot!
