Azeez returns to Hastings

Lanre is back at the Pilot Field

Hastings United have announced the return to the club of Lanre Azeez, who has most recently been in National League South with Welling United.

Lanre- in the number seventeen shirt- was an enormous part of the club's success during 2019-20, making thirty four appearances as the club looked set for promotion before covid hit. He joined late the previous season, coming in from promotion rivals Ashford United after departing Whyteleafe.

The winger has also played for Margate, Thamesmead Town, Maidenhead United and Ebsfleet United.

United boss Chris Agutter told the club website:

“With Lanre joining it’s the final jigsaw piece to our puzzle. It’s been a long time coming and I’m delighted to welcome Lan back home. That’s us done, dusted and ready to go.”
