Bay lure former County striker

Former Notts County, Sutton United and Gillingham striker Jamie O'Connell has joined Ryman League Herne Bay.

The Ryman South club's manager Sam Denly signed the forward, pictured, over the weekend.

O'Connell signed a two-year contract with Notts County in July 2009 and played under former England manager Sven Goran Eriksson.

After leaving County in 2011, he signed for Sutton United in Conference South in the summer of 2012 following a lengthy lay-off due to injury.
