Bay show their support for our front line medics

An aerial view of Winch's Field shows a special message courtesy of groundsman Anthony

Herne Bay have taken steps to show their support for our NHS during this time of national crisis- but you might need to climb a stepladder to fully appreciate it!

Club groundsman Anthony Deer was responsible for the message, which you can see in the image above which we have borrowed from the club website (thank you). Anthony explained:

"Monday evening I set about cutting the message into the pitch using our ride along with lawnmower, it took just over one hour to complete. Not only am I thankful for the job that the key workers, doctors, and nurses are doing right now but also the job they have done in the past with helping our players with serious injuries. We are extremely lucky to have such a great public service in this country, this is just our way of saying thank you.”

The club have gone further, and have offered free season tickets for frontline workers for the 2020-21 season, as well as discounts on merchandise.
