Ben Bennett

We were extremely saddened yesterday to hear of the passing of the former owner of East Thurrock United, Ben Bennett.

Ben took the lead role at the club at a time when they were struggling for their very existence. Under his guidance they not only survived, they thrived; winning promotions, reaching playoff finals, and spending three seasons in National League South- something which must have seemed impossible at the time of his arrival at Rookery Hill.

We would like to send our love and condolences to Ben's family and friends, and to all at East Thurrock United. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time.
