Dan Brown departs

Billericay Town have announced the departure of manager Dan Brown, who has been in permanent charge for one season after two spells as interim boss.

Dan's charges ended their first season back in the Pitching In Isthmian Premier in tenth place, nine points away from the play offs- although they ended the campaign strongly, with only two defeats in ten matches.

A club statement simply said:

'Following a board meeting on Sunday 23rd April, Dan Brown has decided to step down as 1st team manager with immediate effect.

The club would like to thank Dan for his hard work and commitment during the 2022-23 season as well as his two spells as interim manager. We thank Danny for his role in stabilising the club following our relegation from the National League South and wish him all the very best for the future.'

Prior to his time with the Blues Dan played professionally with the likes of Barnet, Oxford United, Crawley Town and Cambridge United.
