Ashford United start a manager search for the first time in five years

Ashford United have announced the departure of their manager, Tommy Warrilow, 'by mutual consent.'

Warrilow took over at Homelands in November 2018, a month after the demise of his previous club, Thamesmead Town. He previously had success at Tonbridge Angels and Cray Wanderers, before doing a marvellous job at Thamesmead despite an extremely limited budget and vastly reduced crowds due to their move to Dartford.

Under his management United twice narrowly failed to gain promotion from Pitching In Isthmian South East via the play offs. The season just ended has seen them finish in ninth place, ten points short of another play off tilt.
