Blues sign a former Blue

Stortford bring in former Margate striker- and he scores immediately

Bishop's Stortford yesterday announced- via their teamsheet- the signing of former Margate striker Jordan Chiedozie.

Jordan was magnificent for the Hartsdown Park side in 2017-18, scoring twenty nine goals in thirty six appearances after signing from Concord Rangers. He was also, bizarrely, sent off in a 2-2 draw with Leiston for laughing an an opponent who tripped over his own feet, picking up a second yellow for unsportsmanlike conduct- so if Stortford's opposition turn up dressed in clown outfits, we'll know why!

He left Margate to move up to National League South and sign for Chelmsford City, but was there for only one injury-hit season.

He began his career in the Bournemouth youth system, and has also played for Cambridge United and Boreham Wood. He scored his first Blues goal on his debut yesterday; the opener against former league-leaders Horsham.

Where next?

Invicta go top on Monsoon Saturday- and the Jammers win their fifteenth consecutive game. We also saw Tilbury score six, Enfield and Westfield score five, and a number of four goal hauls as the weather failed to spoil Non League Day.
