Bognor keeper rocks up in Margate

By Ian Townsend

Amadou Tangara moves to Hartsdown Park

When Amadou Tangara announced his departure from Bognor Regis Town earlier this summer we expected he was about to move upwards, such was the level of his performances for the Rocks. Yesterday, however, it was confirmed that the move was sideways, as he signed for Margate, who must be delighted with their new stopper.

Tangara joined the Rocks in October 2019 after leaving Kingstonian, and- of course- also played for Merstham and Dulwich Hamlet. He was superb behind the Rocks defence, making fourteen appearances during the 2020-21 season before it crashed to an end, twenty nine during 2019-20 before the pandemic hit, and another forty eight last season.

This isn't his first period as a Blue- he spent a little time at Hartsdown Park a number of years ago, and has also played for North Greenford United and Peacehaven & Telscombe.
