Sittingbourne begin a manager search

Sittingbourne last night announced the departure of manager Nick Davis.

In a statement released on social media, the club explained:

'Sittingbourne Football Club can today announce that first team coach Nick Davis has left his role at the club through mutual consent.

The board, have the upmost respect for Nick and wish him the very best in any future roles would like to put their thanks on record for his time and commitment to the club this season.

A further announcement will be made on any interim or permanent replacement as soon as we are in a position to do so.'

Davis has been in charge at Woodstock Park since May- his third spell in the hotseat after a co-manager stint from September 2013 - July 2014 and a long solo period from October 2014 - January 2018. He went on to manage Ramsgate and VCD Athletic before returning to the club.

The Brickies had a good start to the campaign, but have gone into freefall during the last couple of months, and are twelve matches without a win- ten of those in the League- a run which has seen them fall to third from bottom.
