Former Southend and Canvey winger arrives at Basildon

Basildon United have announced the signing of winger Callum Fitzer.

Callum captained Essex at Under 18 level and came through the Academy at Southend United, before moving to Hullbridge Sports- where he played for his new managers. He made fifteen appearances during 2019-20, scoring two goals, with another two goals in five appearances during what there was of the 2020-21 campaign. At the start of last season he signed on at Canvey Island, and made thirty one appearances as the Gulls stormed to Pitching In Isthmian North promotion via the Play Off's.

His most recent club has been Great Wakering Rovers, for whom he has made half a dozen appearances this season.

Callum has also spent a little time at Benfleet, and played some Under 23 football for Bowers & Pitsea.
