Canvey bring in a former Urchin and a former Miller

A keeper and a forward arrive on the Island

Canvey Island have announced the signing of former Aveley keeper Lamar Johnson and former Hornchurch forward/midfielder Tobi Joseph.

Johnson was last seen keeping goal for the Millers as they produced a thrilling end to last season, keeping three clean sheets and appearing on the winning side five times as they ended the campaign in second place. His last match ended in disappointment, however, as Aveley went down 2-0 at home to Heybridge Swifts in the Playoff Semi-Final. He has also turned out for Romford, Grays Athletic and Soham Town Rangers, amongst others.

Joseph was an Urchin for a number of years, part of their promotion winning side of 2017-18 and who made his one hundredth appearance for the Urchins in January 2018. Last season he turned out for Brentwood Town and Barking.
