Whilst we were taking a holiday, Ashford United appointed a new manager, with Danny Kedwell taking the top job following his departure from Chatham Town (May 14th).
As Assistant Manager and player at Chatham, he helped the club to win the South East title in 22-23 and to the Premier Play Off Final in May. He made sixteen appearances last season, scoring four goals, and eleven as his side earned promotion to the top flight the season before. His previous spell as an Isthmian Manager came at Cray Wanderers during the early months of the 21-22 campaign.
As a player, Danny turned out for the likes of Gillingham and AFC Wimbledon, as well as four successful years at Ebbsfleet United.

Dean Beckwith has also departed Chatham Town (21st May) to take up a post as Kedwell's Assistant. He made twenty one appearances for the Chats last season, following twenty eight as the Chats won our South East Division the season before. He was also previously with his manager at Cray Wanderers, and has also played at our level for Hythe Town.
Dean was part of the Hereford United side which climbed from the National League to League One, but some Isthmian supporters with long memories might recall that in the years prior to that period of his career he spent a brief time with Tonbridge Angels and Margate.
He came through the youth setup at Gillingham, and after leaving the Bulls in 2009 played for Northampton Town, before moving on to Luton Town and then Eastleigh. Hw went on to play more than one hundred times for Sutton United, as part of the side that won National League South, before spending time with Havant & Waterlooville.
