Derek Alldridge RIP

Our condolences

Metropolitan Police FC have announced the passing of former long serving secretary and club legend Derek Alldridge.

The club paid this tribute:

'It is with great sadness that the Club announces the death of Derek Alldridge on 10th December 2023 aged 93 years.

Derek was Club Secretary for 27 years until his retirement and a Club stalwart as he followed its fortunes over the next 30 years.

As a supporter, Derek barely missed a home game until the past two years through declining health.

The club joins with Derek’s family in grieving his passing.

We will miss him.'

The Pitching In Isthmian League would like to join with the club in passing on our love and condolences to Derek's family and friends, and to all at Imber Court.

There will be a minute’s silence in his honour at the club's home game against Ascot United on Saturday.
