Double Magpie!

Dereham Town confirm two- and hopefully there will be a third!

Dereham Town have confirmed that they have extended the contracts of Adam Hipperson and Rhys Logan for a further season, and that they hope to do the same with Tomas Snapkauskas, dependent on his personal circumstances.

Adam has had three seasons as an ever-present in the Magpies first team, albeit two of them cut short. His record in front of goal is rather impressive- better than one goal every three matches- and given he isn't a central striker that just underlines his attacking threat (and his prowess from the spot- Jordan Henderson take note).

Rhys is perhaps the creative hub of the side, and a free kick specialist. A first team regular for six seasons now, he is always likely to find a crucial goal- and indeed, has also managed rather a large number of them. Managed to score in five consecutive matches at one point during the 2019-20 season, including a hat trick against Witham Town, and his goals tend to come in clusters- he also had two three match scoring streaks during 2018-19, and another during 2016-17.

Centre back Tomas has been with the club for our last two restricted seasons, making seven appearances last season and twenty two the year before. Speaking about his possible return, manager Adam Gusterson commented:

'Tomas and his partner have recently had a baby daughter. Tomas partner lives in Norway and Tomas missed our recent return to action in the norfolk Senior Cup due to this. Tomas and his partner obviously have some big decisions to make with regards to their future and they are still undecided on where that is at the moment.

I have been in dialogue with Tomas who loves it at Dereham and this is a factor in the overall decision that he and his partner will make but of course it is a huge decision which they have to be sure about on many fronts.'
