Douglas and Dos Santos back with the Wasps

Kie Douglas and Jerson Dos Santos are back at East Grinstead Town

East Grinstead Town have announced the return to the club of midfielder Kie Douglas.

Kie came through youth ranks at Crystal Palace, part of an Under 21 squad that included the likes of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. He then went on to play for Queens Park Rangers, had a short period on trial with Huddersfield Town, and went on to play for National League Bromley before his first spell as an Isthmian, with Waltham Abbey. The 21-22 season saw him make sixteen appearances for the Wasps, scoring four goals, and last season he was at Tooting & Mitcham United, making six appearances, before joining Ashford United, where he played three times more.

Also making a debut in Saturday's defeat against Cray Valley PM was Jerson Dos Santos. Jerson spent part of last season at Whitehawk, playing nine times, and also spent time at Faversham Town, before kicking off this campaign at Erith & Belvedere, playing seven times.

He spent the 21-22 campaign with Haywards Heath Town, where he scored nine goals in thirty three appearances.

He joined Heath from Corinthian-Casuals, where he managed a fantastic return of five goals in eight matches at the end of the 20-21 campaign (what there was of it), after joining them from another set of Casuals, our sadly no more Pitching In Southern League friends at Walton.

He has played for a number of other Pitching In Isthmian clubs, including Sevenoaks Town, Hythe Town, Margate, Whyteleafe, Grays Athletic, Carshalton Athletic and the Wasps, and also spent time at Folkestone Invicta before heading to Walton Casuals. He got ten goals in thirty five matches at the BuildKent Stadium during the 2019-20 season.

Away from his Isthmian career, in his younger days he spent time with Crystal Palace, Charlton Athletic and AFC Wimbledon.
