Dream draw sets up family battle for Blues boss!

Wingate & Finchley

Wingate & Finchley's U18s manager Andy Stacey is looking forward to coming out on top against his son Teddy in the Middlesex County FA Ritson Cup.

On Thursday the father and son, pictured, were paired together in the quarter-final draw that the entire Stacey family was dreaming of - Ryman Premier Wingate & Finchley versus Wealdstone, last season's champions.

Wealdstone set up the meeting with a win over Stevenage on Wednesday night and Stacey senior reckons it will be "interesting" facing his son who captains their next opponents in the U18s competition.

He said: "They got the result that I and our whole team wanted last night. To come up against my son's team makes it all the more exciting. I might have to ground him for that night though!

"I think the only member of my house who is supporting Wingate with me against Wealdstone will be my two year old grandson Kade. It will be a tough game as they haven't lost all season and are in the second round of the FA Youth Cup, but I have the players, coaches and a plan."

Stacey junior has faced Wingate & Finchley previously for Wealdstone since his move across London in 2013 but before his dad took charge.
