Edwards back at the Scholars

Charlie Edwards returns to Potters Bar Town

We're catching up on the remaining transfers which were announced prior to last week's deadline day. There were quite a number, and with the amount of football we had over the Easter weekend we're a little behind!

Potters Bar Town announced the return of midfielder Charlie Edwards to the club prior to the window crashing shut- and gave him another debut in Monday's defeat at Wingate & Finchley.

Charlie has been with Canvey Island since November 2022, and has made thirty three appearances- with three goals- this season, following thirty one- and five goals- last season. He also spent some of last season with Corinthian-Casuals, playing ten times, after joining them in the closing stages of the previous campaign.

As well as the Scholars, he was previously with Wingate and Finchley, Harlow Town and Hertford Town, as well as Waltham Abbey, where he played for part of the 2018-19 and all of the 2019-20 campaigns.

As a side note, the 2018 FA Cup Final ball had his name on it, in celebration of a goal he scored in a replay against Grays Athletic for Hertford Town!
