Bostik Supporters Predictions 18/19: Margate

By Ian Townsend

Ryan of Hartsdown Park seems just slightly food obsessed. Look out Lewes, he's coming for your chicken wings!

We asked supporters of our Bostik League clubs to preview the new season, reflect on the old and predict the final outcome. Their predicted 1-20 (or 22) will be worked into a final table which you will see just before the big kick off.

Ryan Bullock wanderers around South East England following the mighty Margate blues. Sometimes it’s so exciting he’s forced to take his shirt off.

1. What was your favourite moment of last season?

Ryan and friend on tour!

Ryan and friend on tour!

Definitely Kane Haysman’s goal in our win against Dulwich Hamlet. The scenes when the goal went in were incredible. I even took my shirt off as there were only 5 mins left in the game.

2. And your worst moment?

Against Leatherhead in the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round. We weren’t really in the game both first and second half from what I can remember. It was especially painful for me as I’ve never seen Margate in the first round proper.

3. How will you do this season?

After just missing out on the play offs last year I hope we can improve this season. So I’m going for a play off position.

4. Which matches are you most looking forward to going to- and why?

Lewes away; from friends I’ve heard they have some banging chicken wings, and I’m also looking forward to a nice trip down the coast.

5. What is your favourite away ground?

Dulwich Hamlet, although given it was Imperial Fields I suppose I mean Tooting & Mitcham- beautiful ground , nice friendly club & fans. The food there is a bit special too!

6. Who do you consider your biggest rivals- and why?

Our rivals in our league are Folkestone Invicta . But our biggest rivals play in the Vanarama Conference- Dover and Maidstone.

7. What advice would you give to any away supporter visiting you for the first time?

Enjoy it . Our club has a very friendly atmosphere, and you’re sure to get a nice welcome from us Margate fans .

8. Who is your favourite player of all time (for your club)- and why?

My favourite player of all is Leon Braithwaite. The guy was a goal machine; he would always score a goal or two. I admire him for being such a great player, and liked his strength and power.

9. Who will be in the top five at the end of the season?

Kingstonian, Bognor Regis Town, Tonbridge Angels, Margate, Whitehawk

Where next?

Hayes star heads upwards Duku heads to Cheltenham- perhaps to replace former Greenwich Borough star Eisa
