Brightlingsea Regent are asking all home fans- and visiting fans, if they wouldn't mind- to bring items of food for donation to the local foodbank to Saturday's match against Worthing.
The club state:
'Brightlingsea Regent FC don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we want to help provide emergency food and support to local people who are referred to the foodbank in times of crisis. Over a third of those that Foodbanks help are children. Colchester Foodbank are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.'
If you could bring any of the following, making sure that any use by dates are at least two months away, they'd be extremely grateful.
No home made items, and no alcohol please.
