Thatcham Town have been in fine form of late- such fine form that boss Yash Romeo (pictured with our Chair Nick Robinson) picked up the Manager of the Month Award for December. And we're pleased to report that there is no accompanying curse, as the Kingfishers continued their good run with victory in Guernsey yesterday.
The Green Lions were hoping for their first home win of the season, a result which would have seen them climb off the bottom of the Pitching In Isthmian South central table, but despite fighting hard they were once again left with nothing. The only goal of the game arrived only ten minutes in, and it came directly from a corner, Cameron Rohart-Brown's inswinger ending up in the back of the home net and silencing most of the five hundred and thirty two watching on. That sealed a fourth win from five for the Kingfishers- only title-chasing Basingstoke Town taking anything from them of late.
The Kingfishers debuted a new number nine, Cameron Gyeabour making a debut. Cameron's previous clubs include Croydon, Holmesdale, Sutton Common Rovers, Ascot United, Walton & Hersham, Rusthall and Badshot Lea.
