Finally, some football- even if it was all of the non-competitive kind. Here's what happened- or at least what we've been able to find out from social media.
Folkestone Invicta hosted Ramsgate and ran out with a four-two victory to lift the Sid Burvill Trophy. Invicta's scorers were Scott Heard, Ian Draycott, Alfie Paxman and Dave Smith, and we've no idea who notched for the Rams.
Leatherhead hosted 'Complete Player Performance' at Fetcham Grove and won three-nil, whilst
Witham Town travelled to Whitton United and fell to a two-one defeat. Andrew Briggs and two trialists scored for the Tanners (or perhaps one trialist, twice!), we don't know who scored for Witham.
Chalfont St Peter travelled to Virginia Water and won two-nil, with two goals in the last twenty minutes. No, we've no idea who scored them.
Lewes won four-nil at Peacehaven and Telscombe, scorers unknown, whilst in Cheshunt's tri-wizard tournament which also featured FC Romania and Great Wakering Rovers we know that the Wolves lost one-nil to the Ambers and won one-nil against Rovers, but we don't know what happened when the Ambers played the Rovers, nor who scored.
Faversham Town scored six at Punjab United, conceding two- again, no details of who scored seem to be available.
Brightlingsea Regent defeated a James Webster XI by four goals to nil.
Finally, Whitehawk supporters took on Guernsey supporters on the South Coast as part of the Hawks Community Day. The home fans won by six goals to four, and former England goalkeeper David James managed to play for both sides. You'll see him pictured above- image courtesy of the Green Lions- in a rather unfamiliar shirt.
