Ryman Premier Kingstonian are looking forward to running their special promotion for fans of all sports again on Non-League Day 2014.

Football clubs from across Non-League are gearing up to take part in the annual event on Saturday 6 September and the K's have announced that for the second successive season anybody producing a valid season ticket from any sports club will be granted half price admission to their clash with Hendon.

Non-League Day originally started as a social media experiment in 2010 to help clubs take advantage of the traditional September international break to showcase their facilities and football by offering free or discounted entry to season ticket holders from the Football League and Premier League.

With England taking on Switzerland in a European Championship qualifying curtain-raiser, thousands of fans with the weekend off are expected to take advantage of the scheme. Other popular promotions set to be run again by many clubs include offering free entry to off duty members of the armed forces and emergency services.

Kingstonian are using their match at Kingsmeadow this season to highlight the K's Kids for Free scheme, backed by independent insurance brokers and financial advisors, Lucas Fettes. Officials say all boys and girls aged under 16 are eligible to receive a free season ticket – all they need to do is attend a game and claim a season-long pass upon arrival.

Prostate Cancer UK is the official charity of Non-League Day 2014 and as well as awareness, thousands of pounds are expected to be raised through the generosity of fans at matches across the country for the charity’s ‘Men United v Prostate Cancer’ campaign.

James Doe, founder of Non-League Day, said: "We hope that Non-League clubs and their supporters will also wish to adopt Prostate Cancer UK as a charity for the day and look forward to hearing from any who would like to host themed events or fundraising activities."

Prostate Cancer UK are targetting fans to raise awareness of the disease which affects 1 in 8 men sometime in their life and kills over 10,000 a year. More than 180,000 people have signed for Men United by doing a simple online test.

Clubs interested in running an event for Prostate Cancer UK or are happy to let their volunteers into the ground on Non-League Day, should contact the charity's community engagement manager Chris Carter on 0203 310 7006 or at chris.carter@prostatecanceruk.org.
