Matt Pattison and Kieran Murphy put them two up in nine minutes, Craig Mullen added the third and Pattison struck again to rule out any prospect of an upset victory for the Ryman North side.
There was no further scoring until added time at the end of the game, when Daryl Robson’s consolation goal made it 4-1. K’s now have an attractive home tie against Conference Premier high-flyers Dartford.
Hampton also looked set for a comfortable replay victory but, in the end, they had to hang on for their 3-2 home win over Premier rivals Leiston.
Charlie Moone opened the scoring after six minutes and goals by Tom Hickey and Moone late in the first half sent Hampton in for the break with a 3-0 lead.
Rhys Henry pulled one back seven minutes after the restart and when Gareth Heath scored with 11 minutes left it meant an tricky end to the game for the hosts before they clinched their home tie against Conference South side Chelmsford, who won their replay 4-2 after extra time at Dover.
So three Ryman League clubs are through to the first round proper, including Maidstone who were successful on Saturday. Wealdstone, semi-finalists last season, replay at Corby tomorrow.
Our other two sides were beaten in their away replays, Canvey took a first-half lead at Chesham through Bradley Woods-Garness but went down 2-1, the winner coming with three minutes left.
Leatherhead, facing a difficult visit to Conference South side Bath, held out for 36 minutes but were beaten 2-0.
Meanwhile, Canvey Island’s other side, Concord Rangers, were celebrating a remarkable goal scoring feat by Jason Hallett, who claimed SEVEN of their goals in an 8-2 county cup victory over Essex Senior League side Takeley.
