Margate last night announced a double signing, with the arrivals of Kofi Boateng and Chris Barnard.
Barnard, a midfielder, joins on a dual registration deal from National League Dover Athletic- and perhaps joint manager Mike Sandmann was a big part of the attraction, having coached him at Athletic's Academy. Boateng, a defender, was previously part of the Norwich City Academy, singing up with the Canaries as a first year Scholar four years ago this month.

Not to be outdone, Kentish rivals Tonbridge Angels also announced a signing, that of former Phoenix Sports winger Adem Ramadan. Adem, who has been recovering from serious injury for the last eighteen months but is still only 21, has been part of the Angels set up during pre-season and has now been handed a contract by boss Steve McKimm.
