Maidstone United moved five points clear at the top of the Ryman Premier's table on Tuesday night but had to come from behind to beat Harrow Borough at the Gallagher Stadium, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Another excellent crowd of 1,347 were shocked just past the half-hour mark when Harrow took the lead when Marc Charles-Smith was brought down by Steve Watt. He was booked for the challenge and Daniel May fired home the resultant free-kick.

With the Stones pressing for an equaliser that never looked guaranteed, Alex Flisher scored from Ashley Miller's cross at the the far post with 11 minutes to go to make it six goals in the last six matches. The Stones then grabbed a dramatic winner four minutes into stoppage time when Frannie Collin fired home from close range.

Dulwich Hamlet returned to winning ways with a comfortable victory on the road at bottom markers VCD Athletic.

The newly-promoted Vickers have found it tough at Premier level and fell behind in the 37th minute to a Dean McDonald effort. Lewis Gonsalves eventually doubled Hamlet`s lead after 64 minutes and then four minutes later it was game over as Ibrahim Mansaray made it 3-0.

Bury Town ended a five-game winless run with a 2-1 success against Billericay Town at Ram Meadow.

Remi Garratt proved to be the home Blues` hero, netting a brace in the 24th and 42nd minutes. Ricky Sappleton scored a consolation for the Essex visitors in the fourth minute of time added on at the end of the game.

The other Tuesday game saw Canvey Island and Leatherhead share a 1-1 draw at the Prospects Stadium.

The Gulls took the lead on 19 minutes when Tambeson Eyong set John Sands free and he kept his composure to tuck the ball away into the bottom corner. The equaliser came on 64 minutes when Stacy Long hit a long shot which deceived goalkeeper Melvin Minter.
