Former Enfield hotshot joins the Bar

By Ian Townsend

Liam Hope is new at Potters Bar Town

Potters Bar Town last night announced the signing of striker Liam Hope, who for the last few years has been knocking them in for Pitching In Southern League side Ware.

We believe that Liam is still Enfield Town's record goalscorer, having found the net for the Donkey Lane side one hundred and eighteen times. When he eventually departed the Towners in 2019 he went east, signing for Maldon & Tiptree, playing seventeen times before heading to Hertfordshire. He had previously spent time with Brentwood Town, Didcot Town and North Leigh.

He managed twenty seven goals for Ware during the 2019-20 campaign, a couple more in the almost non-existent 2020-21 season, and seventeen last season- fugures from the Ware website.
