Former Torino stopper new at City

Giulio Girelli makes his Chichester City debut

Chichester City had a new keeper for their match against Burgess Hill Town on Saturday, and Giulio Girelli kept a clean sheet in a three-nil victory.

Giulio joins the club on a dual registration deal from Pitching In Southern League side AFC Totton, but has played for a number of far more recognisable names in his career despite being only twenty one.

He started as a youth in Turn with Juventus, and then crossed the mountains to Germany, where he played Under 17 and Under 19 football for Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt. He then headed back to his native Italy to play for Torino, appearing for their Under 19 side, and then moved to the UK to study Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Southampton, joining up with Totton alongside his studies.
