Friday Night is Football Night, as they never say on BBC Radio 2- and we start our Friday entertainment offering with an entirely Ken Bruce-free evening at Hartsdown Park, where Margate welcome Billericay Town in a clash of the two blues.
Margate start the day in sixteenth, three points and five places behind their visitors, but will be heartened, perhaps, by the fact that Town have had a torrid time on the road of late. They have lost five of their seven away fixtures this season, including the last two, at Kingstonian and- on Monday night- at Carshalton Athletic. Gate, conversely, are on their best run of the campaign, and welcome their Essex visitors on the back of a six game unbeaten run in League and Cups, a run which includes five wins and last weekend's draw at Bishop's Stortford.
Over in Pitching In Isthmian North, Coggeshall Town try again to deliver that first win of the season as they welcome Hullbridge Sports. The Seed Growers have lost their last five league matches and are eight points away from guaranteed safety- and also, coincidentally, eight points above their hosts. Sports delivered an impressive win over Grays Athletic last time out, which ended their own two month search for a league victory- although they've won three more league matches than Town.
Both matches start at 7.45 PM.
