The Football Association has chosen Maidstone United’s Ryman Premier Gallagher Stadium to host a military benefit match as part of its 150th anniversary celebrations.

An FA Representative XI is kicking off against the Royal Engineers on Monday 25 November. The Band of the Royal Engineers will also be entertaining fans attending the fixture at the Kent outfit’s ground with the charity match set to be played on the stadium's state-of-the-art artificial surface.

The Stones say a range of family entertainment is also being laid on with funds raised at the event going to charities supporting former members of the armed forces and their families.

Kick-off is 7.30pm with adult tickets priced at £5. Under 11s go free with a £1 admission charge for under 18s and concessions.

In May the FA helped the British Army FA mark its own 125th anniversary when an FA Legends XI led by England manager Roy Hodgson took on an Army XI at Reading’s Madejski Stadium.
