Hamlet striker becomes a Wanderer

Balarabe the latest to sign on for Cray

Cray Wanderers have announced the signing of Dulwich Hamlet striker Sadik Balarabe.

Sadik was only with Hamlet a short time, and managed to play only three times before the National League South season- rather like ours- came to an end. Prior to joining the side in pink and blue he was with another National League South side, Hemel Hempstead Town- but despite being a Londoner by birth he has spent most of his career outside the UK.

Heading to the USA to study he was prolific for Jackson Jets and Saginaw Valley State Cardinals, before heading to Greece, where he turned out for AO Levante, Iraklis Psachna and Niki Volos. Moving to Portugal he turned out for Gil Vicente, before playing in Turkey for Torbalispor and Salihli Belediyespor.

His passport still hadn't expired, so he headed to Cyprus to play for Mağusa Türk Gücü, before spending time in Spain with Urraca and Ibiza Islas Pitiusas.

He might get rather less sunshine in Kent, but we're sure he'll get plenty of goals!

We found a rather interesting interview with him here, and you can read more on his signing by heading here.

He is pictured with a trophy won during his time in Greece, taken from his personal website.
