Lewes fell to defeat courtesy of an Evans Kouassi second half masterclass as Canvey Island visited in midweek, but that was only the Rooks second defeat in ten, and they had every reason to be confident as Potters Bar Town arrived at the Dripping Pan. Tom Champion gave them the lead on half an hour, and Joe Taylor, the epitome of goal scoring efficiency, added a second just before the break- taking his total to thirty two for the season. Four minutes from time the visitors created a sense of nervousness around the ground by halving the arrears, Makise Evans with the goal, but it turned out to be no more than a consolation. The Rooks remain three points behind fifth place Enfield Town, and the eight hundred and ninety seven in attendance were generally left feeling positive.
