Highlights: South Park Reigate 4 Westfield 5

By Ian Townsend

Don’t look away, you’ll miss a goal!

Westfield travelled to South Park Reigate as eighth welcomed seventh. There were four points between the sides at kick off, and the Woking side had been superb in winning their last five- but it was the Sparks who had the better start, and took only three minutes to go ahead, Aiden Brown opening the scoring. The visitors were level on the quarter hour, Jacob Breckon with the equaliser, but the Sparks speedily reestablished their advantage, Joe Haigh making it two-one. Even more quickly the visitors levelled, indeed on this occasion they were behind for only three minutes, Manolis Gogonas making it two-two, and they went ahead for the first time when Breckon made it three-two ten minutes before the break. The match had a sixth goal four minutes before half time, and again it went to the visitors, Lewis Jackson extending their lead, and it seemed the Sparks had been well and truly extinguished when Westfield immediately made it five-two, Jordan Alves with that one. If anyone thought it was game over, the hosts had other ideas, and Ryan Healy got one back just after the hour, and it was four-five with ten minutes left, Deondre Date with the afternoons ninth goal. Finally, the goals had stopped, and Westfield ended the afternoon in sixth, three points behind fifth place Raynes Park Vale with two games in hand.
