Walthamstow started the day in eighth place, only three points behind the top five. The east Londoners were at home, Ipswich Wanderers making the long trip from Sussex on the back of three consecutive defeats, and it was the visitors who took the lead on twenty minutes, Paul Moodie opening the scoring. Stow levelled just before the break, Bilal Sayoud with the equaliser, and they were ahead sixteen minutes from time, Samson Uwandu getting what proved to be the winner. They stay eighth, but the gap is down to two points.
