Hillians appoint Lovett

South Park boss heads to the Green Elephants Stadium

This morning we announced the departure of South Park boss Jay Lovett, and this afternoon we found out why he had left, as he was unveiled as the new man in charge of Burgess Hill Town.

The Hillians have moved swiftly to find a replacement for Simon Wormull, who departed the club in midweek, and have decided that Lovett- who turned around South Park during his twelve months in charge- fits the bill. The new boss will need to hit the ground running, as his new side are in terrible form at the moment and sit second bottom of the South East Division following relegation from the Premier Division at the end of last season.

His first match in charge at the Green Elephants Stadium will see East Grinstead Town visit in the Sussex Senior Cup in midweek, before they get back to league action as they welcome Guernsey on Saturday.
