Hillians bring in Urchins striker

Daniel Uchechi goes from Urchin to Green Elephant

Burgess Hill Town last night announced the arrival of Hornchurch striker Daniel Uchechi, and gave him twenty minutes from the bench in their defeat against Hastings United.

Daniel has been with the Urchins since the summer, but is much travelled and has been with clubs at a much higher level. He started his career at Charlton Athletic, moved to West Ham, and whilst playing in Nigeria had loans at Leicester City and Sheffield Wednesday. He played in Scotland for Aberdeen, spent some time in Sweden, and in recent years has played for Boreham Wood, Hendon, Hampton and Richmond Borough, Cray Wanderers and South Park, before making twenty seven appearances for the Urchins this season, scoring three times.

He also played international football for Nigeria at Under 20 and Under 23 level. He rejoins his former South Park manager Jay Lovett at the Green Elephants Stadium- he made seven appearances for the Sparks towards the end of last season, scoring twice.
