Ryman League Robert Dyas Disability Cup

Holders Maidstone United have been drawn at home to Charlton Athletic in the second round of the Ryman League’s Robert Dyas Disability Cup.

The Stones - inaugural winners of the competition in May after beating Bury Town 7-1 at their Gallagher Stadium – have entered two teams this season.

Their Maidstone United ‘Raider Platinum’ side have until the end of February to bid for a place in the last four of the competition which has been sponsored by the Ryman Group’s Robert Dyas for the first time.

Their opponents Charlton have also entered two teams with their Charlton Athletic ‘White’ drawn away to Folkestone Invicta.

Maidstone United ‘Gold’ await the outcome of the only outstanding first round clash - Carshalton Athletic versus Colchester United - to find out who they’ll be away to.

Last season's runners-up Bury Town were drawn at home to St Alban’s City when the draw was made on Tuesday at the Ryman League’s offices in Dartford.

Maidstone United’s Disability team were recognised for their Ryman Disability Cup triumph at the Ryman League Awards at Wembley’s Hilton Hotel in June when Stones skipper Steve Watts was presented with the trophy by Ryman Group Chairman Theo Paphitis and Ryman League Chairman and President Alan Turvey.

Homewares retailer Robert Dyas, who Paphitis took over in July 2012, have also become title sponsors of the league’s other cup competition's this season including the Robert Dyas League Cup, Robert Dyas Vets Cup and the Robert Dyas Youth Play-off Cup.
