Hornets bring in a Mackerel Man

Horsham have announced the signing of long-serving Worthing midfielder Danny Barker.

Earlier in his career Danny played for Brighton & Hove Albion, captaining the Under 18's, and had graduated to the Under 23 side when serious injury hit his professional hopes. He ended up at Woodside Road, and has been an enormous part of the Mackerel Men's success over the last five years.

Danny made one hundred and fifty four appearances for Worthing, including thirty five as they swept to the Pitching In Isthmian Premier title in 2021 to win promotion to National League South. As well as playing in midfield, he has also been known to play in the centre of defence.
